Five games, one mechanic each, and every level verified by a solver.
One mechanic per game
- Lumare: mirrors, prisms and filters guide the light to every boat.
- Glisso: switch the floor between ice and grip to stop the disc on the target.
- Bimundo: two boards with different rules, and a single move shifts everything.
- Latento: the vehicle responds with a delay, so every command has to be planned ahead.
- Limina: only the edges move, so blocks have to be stretched to reach their points.
Key decisions
- A puzzle has to be difficult yet always solvable. Checking by hand is impossible at this scale, so a solver validates the levels before they reach the player.
- Lumare has 90 levels, a daily puzzle and an endless mode. The last two are generated on the phone, so the game works fully offline.
- The Lumare solver also calculates the minimum number of pieces for each level, which sets the star ratings.
- Lumare is a single payment at purchase, with no in-app purchases.
- Glisso, Bimundo, Latento and Limina have 72 levels each and began with a review of what already exists. The original concept for Bimundo was already widely used, and those for Latento and Limina partly so, and all three were redesigned as a result.
- The engine of these four games is written in pure Dart, so it can be tested without a user interface. Together, they have 185 automated tests.
- These four games have no network access, no permissions and no ads. Sound is synthesised in code, so there are no licences to manage.
